Cookie policy

A short policy, because the site uses almost no cookies. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.

1. What is stored in your browser

Two items, both first-party, both essential to operate the site. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party telemetry of any kind.

2. The full list

2.1 qcv_consent_v1 (localStorage)

A single value — either accepted or declined — that records whether you have dismissed the cookie banner. Stored in your browser's localStorage by JavaScript on this site, never sent to our servers, expires when you clear your browser storage. The only purpose is to stop the banner from reappearing on every page load.

2.2 PHPSESSID (session cookie)

A standard PHP session cookie. Used only to give the contact-form back-end a per-visitor identifier so we can rate-limit submissions and protect against form abuse. Lasts for the duration of your browser session, expires when you close the browser. Not used for tracking or advertising.

3. What we do not use

  • No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Matomo, no Heap, no Mixpanel.
  • No advertising pixels (no Meta, no Google Ads, no LinkedIn Insight Tag).
  • No third-party scripts loaded from CDNs we do not control. (Google Fonts is the one exception, served from fonts.googleapis.com — see §4.)
  • No browser fingerprinting techniques.
  • No A/B testing tools.

4. Google Fonts

The site loads four typefaces — Big Shoulders Display, Newsreader, Inter, and JetBrains Mono — from fonts.googleapis.com. Loading a font from Google causes a request that includes your IP address. We consider this minimal but not zero, and have judged the design payoff worth the small privacy cost. If you would prefer the site without it, blocking fonts.googleapis.com in your browser is sufficient — the fallback fonts are configured.

5. Stripe (only on the checkout flow)

When you proceed to checkout, you leave this site for Stripe's hosted checkout page. Stripe will set its own cookies on its own domain — those are governed by Stripe's policy at stripe.com/cookies, not this one. We never see them.

6. Changing your mind

To withdraw consent, clear your browser's site data for this domain. The banner will reappear on your next visit. If you have any further questions, write to connect@quantumcanvator.com.
